The Association is affiliated to Regional, International and Local unions/associations to include Southern African Network for Nurses and Midwives (SANNAM), East, Central and Southern Africa College of Nursing (ECSACON), International Council of Nurses (ICN), Public Service International (PSI) and locally it networks with organizations like Public Service Association, Zimbabwe Teachers
Association among the list. This scenario is healthy in the running of the Association because ex-change of notes and ideas is critical in the Association business.
International Council Of Nurses(ICN)
ICN advances nursing, nurses and health through its policies, partnerships, advocacy, leadership development, networks, congresses and special projects.
ICN works with various partners on campaigns which promote and share key messages on topics of particular interest to nursing. By providing factual, accurate and reliable information on a broad range of issues, ICN is an active and effective advocate on key issues.
Public Service International (PSI)
Public Services International is part of the original movement of Internationals: united groups of socialists, trade unionists and workers created to link the struggles of the working class around the world.
As a union federation, we include 700 affiliated workers organisations; from grassroot movements to national union centers. Our power comes from the workers whose interests we defend.
International Labour Organisation
(ILO)
The main aims of the ILO are to promote rights at work, encourage decent employment opportunities, enhance social protection and strengthen dialogue on work-related issues.
The ILO aims to ensure that it serves the needs of working women and men by bringing together governments, employers and workers to set labour standards, develop policies and devise programmes.
Southern African Network for Nurses and Midwives (SANNAM)
SANNAM is a regional body made up of the 15 National Nurses Organisations /
Associations (NNO/NNA’s) in the SADC region representing nurses and midwives,
professional, socio-economic and health issues affecting our region at large
Public Service Association (PSA)
The PSA represents members on workplace issues, negotiates collective employment agreements and advocates for strong public services
PSA’s principal purpose is to regulate the relationship between employers and employees, Negotiating fair terms of remuneration and representing their interests in a variety of bargaining councils
East, Central and Southern African College of Nursing (ECSACON)
ECSACON is therefore committed to promoting professional excellence in the delivery of health ser- vices through programs aimed at strengthening nursing and midwifery education, practice, research, management, and leadership.
